KEHILLAH: Jewish Communal Professional Association of
Greater Baltimore is comprised of professionals, retirees,
and students serving the Jewish community of Greater Baltimore.
The Mission of KEHILLAH:
- Provide networking opportunities
- Enhance the status of the field
- Promote continuing professional
education
- Promote interagency collaboration
- Explore issues that affect us as
community professionals
The Elements of KEHILLAH:
- Programming offers Kehillah members the opportunity to
gather for professional development, discussion of current issues in the
field of Jewish Communal Service, networking with colleagues, and
sharing professional expertise.
- Continuing Education sponsors exciting lunchtime programs in order
to enhance our Judaic and professional knowledge. Limited enrollment
allows for an intimate learning opportunity for text study and
exploration of the Jewish tradition.
- Tikkun Olam enables us to look beyond ourselves and our
agencies to work together for the community-at-large. We aim to keep you
informed of volunteer projects
taking place in our community.
- Recognition of our colleagues takes place in an annual
award ceremony honoring those who have made a significant contribution,
have had distinguished careers, and encouraged agency collaboration.
Nominations are made by Kehillah members, and awards are presented at
our Fall and Spring programs.
- Mentoring offers an ideal opportunity for growth and
support in an ever changing yet satisfying profession. Kehillah matches
new professionals with veterans to help ease their transition into the
field.
